Overview
  • While European countries led the development of Africa throughout history, there have been increasing contributions from Japan and China. Due to geographical and natural limitations, however, the continent still desperately requires more development in first and second industries, as well as railroads, ports, roads, power plants, and other infrastructure elements.
Meanwhile, Korea is currently faced with the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, in order to find future industries and discover new values overseas.
African is home to not only a wide range of natural resources, but also expanding markets, with large development potentials in agriculture, manufacture, infrastructure, and service industries. As such, in order to more efficiently grow such potentials, the continent needs to have a renewed frame of development.

The Africa-Korea Economic Development Association aims to improve the Korean understanding of Africa, a region emerging as another pillar of the global economy, and help African countries develop their economies through the success model of Korea.
